***Manchester United striker Robin van Persie will be fit for next week's Manchester derby. Van Persie will be fit to face Manchester City in next week's derby despite being taken off on a stretcher during Manchester United's win over Olympiacos on Wednesday night. (Daily Mail)

***Manchester City talisman David Silva is eager for the club to win the Premier League for manager Manuel Pellegrini. The midfielder has been outstanding under Pellegrini this season.

***Toronto goalkeeper Julio Cesar has claimed that the Major League Soccer rivals the Premier League in terms of organisation and atmosphere.
